Don't Call it Poetry: Everyone Can Write Workshops

Picture

Don't Call it Poetry workshops introduce participants to the serious fun that writing can be. Participants read and write poems together in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere and replace fear of poetry with inspiration and enthusiasm.

Author and educator Tzivia Gover believes that poetry and creative writing are fun, easy and deeply satisfying and she enjoys bringing the joy of writing for self-expression to everyone. Whether you think you can't write poetry or stories, or whether you're an experienced wordsmith, Don't Call it Poetry workshops are for you!

Participants in Don’t Call it Poetry: Everyone can Write will:
  • Read and write poems together in a fun and supportive atmosphere;
  • Replace fear of poetry with inspiration and enthusiasm;
  • Play with writing both in form and informally;
  • Receive individual and group feedback on their poems in a supportive and encouraging environment;
  • Discover writing as a vehicle for self-expression, self-discovery and serious fun!

I am the poet of heart

and I am the poet of life.

I am the poet of the wind and

I am the poet of the rain."
~Yahaira

Workshop fees start at $500 and vary depending length of workshop and travel distance. For more more information email Tzivia.

“My student Larry and I really enjoyed your workshop...I think it was your way of presenting poetry and writing in general as a work in progress and not emphasizing that it has to be correct or perfect the first time.” Jefferson R., Literacy Tutor, Boston
